Did you manually download the kernel from this location and install with
the headers etc?... I tried searching for a kernel PPA to add to the
software sources, and only found this one, (https://launchpad.net
/~kernel-ppa/+archive/ppa) which does not have karmic kernels...

Just a correction, after a reboot the notifications started again, so I
think all is well at the moment. Jatin, try closing the client, then
restart from the Applications -> Internet menu. For me, this prompted
me to re-authorise my machine and the problem has gone.

Same problem with Firefox 3.5.3.
Adblock plus and Firebug have same behaviour. They are marked for update, but
never get updated and so they no longer run.

Same here. Toshiba U400-200 laptop, it has same ethernet/wireless

The PC successfully falls asleep, but doesn't resume when a external hdd
is connected by firewire.
The drive is encrypted with luks (cryptsetup) and formated with ext3.
The drive is halted as soon the PC sleeps. When waking up the PC, the
drive won't start again till reboot

A more advanced version of my patch is now included in Karmic and here's
the current status:
1) when the Dell Mini 10v is detected it will work well out of the box,
thanks to a quirk in the fdi file which sets the property mentioned in
point 2

if that happened dhe gwibber-daemon goes to 100% of cpu
perhaps its the same bug as the other scheduling while atimic bugs, but i dont
