Now the Desktop is only black with no icons (the panel is still visible and

I wonder if it might be possible to swap the disabled icon for one that

times to change a profile from DHCP to Manual, typing one (or two) IPs

I am using my notebook with several different screen resolutions ( with an
extern monitor ).
After changing back to the notebook screen often the objects in the gnome
panels ( plugins ) are no more aligned. For example the indicator
