Well I tried the live CD of the beta release of Karmic, the animation
was perfect. However, the animation I tried wasn't that of the desktop
cube, but desktop wall, for I wasn't able to install advanced desktop
effects in the live session. Moreover, the desktop wall animation is
flawless in Jaunty
Single did the trick. I have also Xorg.0.log.old but I believe this one
is the most useful.

Skype, being a Qt app is going to be harder to take care of, I imagine.
The problem with other apps can probably be fixed in the gtkrc. It is a

This is getting late for this in karmic. The current init-based script
is working perfectly, so I see no point in risking a regression here for

I've tried in Karmic with the Swedish language and it works - all keyboard
shortcuts are in English, but at least that's better than non-working shortcuts.
If anyone can reproduce it with audacity 1.3.9-4 or higher, feel free to reopen
the bug.
