Where's the changelog, was there even any related change in that kernel
update?
I've switched to 2.6.32-rc3 built directly from kernel.org source. The
ath9k driver appears to work a lot better there, but the kernel crashes
on me. I'm guessing the crashes are related to the ATI r600 KMS support
tho

graphic driver (radeon, I suppose) but also when I try the "

Am running Karmic beta now, but Jaunty 64-bit was rock solid on my MBP5,1.
Perhaps its a dodgy graphics card? Nvidia did have some problems with some of

Heyy have you activated your free 2 GB account? I was having the same problem
then this morning i went to www.ubuntuone.com and then registered my free 2 GB
account and its working now. Just make sure you have done that and let me know
if it works.

This bugfix has been released in ALSA 1.0.21. Please, please, please,

decision, the show desktop is not mean to send all software to the task
list but to show the desktop to be able to interact with it, once done
you get your normal layout back on screen

Thanks, but that's not a gnome-session issue. gnome-session can only
restore applications that connect to the session manager, save it's own
state file and tell the session manager how to restore it. If some
applications don't work, then that's an application bug, and you should
open a bug report f

Sorry for not following up ... I fixed the init/shutdown sequence
(indeed with great help from echo and ping) by changing the position of
nfs mounts. The problem I had was that my fstab has some NFS mounts,
which are unmounted AFTER the network is shut down. That's why it didn't
work.
