If you have also an i915 graphic card I think so. Just confirm the upstream bug
report so that the devs know that it is not a rare issue.

A work around for this right now is to uncomment 'TerminateServer=true'
in /etc/kde4/kdm/kdmrc.

Although the FreeDB information suppose to be encoded with UTF-8,
virtually all the information about Hebrew music CDs was encoded as
cp1255 (Windows Hebrew Code-Page).

Err, it seems I should port the patch to util-linux-ng. Will sen
just upgraded from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 Beta.
I restarted the computer. I get the log-in screen. I try typing my
password but it gets rejected. Then I try typing in the regular Qwerty
layout and it recognizes my typing.I am able to log-on. After logging
in, I can type in my Dvorak layout.

I've tested this in the latest version of inkscape (0.47~pre1-0ubuntu2)
on karmic beta and the bug (as described) seems to have been fixed. The
default path for File->Open is now set to that of the last opened file.
However, File->Import now always default to ~/Desktop. I'll open a new

Actually this is a policy decision. Currently there are separate
priviliges for installing and updating packages. The CommitPackages
mehtods checks if each one of them is required.
I cannot think of a use case in which somebody is allowed to install
software but not allowed to upgrade software.
