Still an issue with version 2.6.31-9.
WLAN works with mainline Kernel 2.6.31-rc7. RC8 has a boot problem so I can't
test it but I think it works.
So it seems to be an Ubuntu issue.
I guess the Dell Inspiron 1525 is common especially since it was the
first Dell Notebook shipped with Ubuntu.

I got the exact same problem, could boot on one of my old kernels but not the
newly installed.
I did an update to Karmic from Jaunty with aptitude and changed the
/etc/apt/sources.list to use Karmic insted.
Can I solve this by hand? I really like to try the 2.6.31 kernel from
Karmic Koala.

Builds failed on ia64, armel, and sparc due to the same issue - the
testsuite fails due to running out of fds.
The testsuite harness deliberately limits the number of fds available to
catch leaks, but such leaks shouldn't be platform dependent, so this
seems almost certain to

When I have sonata configured to minimize on window close, Ctrl+W still
quits it. "Ctrl+W" is the shortcut for "close window", so it should do
the same as closing the window. The shortcut to quit the application
should be "Ctrl+Q", which does indee

Same problem here. Until a couple days ago, my Thinkpad T400 woke up
from sleep without a hitch. Then. the symptoms that katsudon describes
appeared. I also noticed characters in Firefox becoming corrupted a few
seconds after wake-up. The complete freeze can be prevented by switching
to a TTY and r

try to use /dev/sda2 or something instead of the UUID-crap in the /etc/crypttab
and /dev/mapper/sda2_crypt in the root=parameter in grub.
