Sorry, should have stated that explicitly. Presence in
/etc/initramfs-tools/modules gets the module
sabayon-2.27.91-0ubuntu4 or later in my ppa appears to be mostly
working.

After the upgrade from 7.10, where my synaptics touchpad was
automatically recognized, to 8.04 (online) my touchpad stopped working.
When clicking on GSynaptics I get that I should set "SHMConfig" to
"true" in xorg.conf, which I have done, but that does not help.
