There was an internal API change in python-apt. A new version of python-
apt has been uploaded with the corresponding breaks tag.
I already removed the corresponding code in upstream git repository.

I am the upstream and debian maintainer for feed2imap, and can confirm that the
changes between 0.9.3 and 0.9.4 and OK so far in the release cycle.

The build system *does* read Provides. The flaw is in your statement
about automake1.10.
The "automake1.10" source used to have an "automake" binary package with
the properties that you described. But that "automake" binary has since
been replaced by the one from the "automake1.11" source.

I just had a chance to test. I couldn't find skencil.0.6.17-17 in Jaunty
repository either so I downloaded the package from the link Nick provided:

It is dependent on python-support>0.
