perfectly in Jaunty, but has never worked in Karmic since alpha 1. The
horizontal scrolling does

the build server side is being taken care of, i adjusted the description
to point out the relevance for the asignee.
while it is nice to have a warning from squashfs in dmesg, it would be
nice if it would not look like an oops with stacktrace, can the warning
message that is show be quietened down
I can duplicate this bug on Jaunty installed on a Acer M1610 which has a
embedded SiS966 audio card with a Realtek ALC1200 chip.
I don't have this bug on my laptop IBM X41 with Jaunty installed on it.

Thanks for this work Nicolas. Would it be possible to send relevant
changes to Debian. I see there is a Debian bug open for the manpages
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=125637) - Looks like
the same manpages, but a diff would be easier to apply.
