I had the same problem with an AMD desktop and a Microsoft Comfort Curve
2000 USB keyboard. Caps Lock worked with a PS/2 keyboard, didn't work
when I switched to the USB keyboard. Caps lock started working again

I think it the same bug i reported Bug #405265 earlier,
but i'm not sure why apport reports it to the wrong package , even the last
time it was reported in gstreamer!
So, it happens often , but at random. there are no specific steps ,
maybe the comparison of the two crashes can shed some light.

Currently, my wireless is broken. The last time I ran "apport-collect -p
linux 405656", it worked. Since it isn't working now, I'll run "apport-
collect -p linux 405656" again, in case anything changed that can be
detected in the uploaded information.

I have a little hack for this problem
cat /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/ACAD/state
this command to force update the status of AC_Adapter correctly, this
will be used for the hack.
sudo vim /etc/acpi/events/battery_event
(copy/paste)

action=cat /proc/acpi/ac_adapter/AC/state > /dev/nu
