A correction: The freeze does happen on nVidia Quadro NVS 290 (NV86),
but not on nVidia Quadro FX1500 (NV71GL). So it is a bug affecting only
newer nVidia hardware. I do not know if it happens on Ubuntu 64 Bit,
too. It should be patched as soon as possible.

Please include this in 8.04.4.
Some internet providers only allow imaging for LTS releases. They also
sell Nehalem-based machines, which have the new igb driver for
networking, and they cannot be used. It looks like 8.04.3 backported an
igb driver but either it's not new enough, or the pciids are

Same problem here. It happened the last time samba was updated, and now
it's happening. Hopefully I don't have to do this each time, because
otherwise AD logins won't work :(
Running apt-get upgrade, I'm asked to sudo cp /usr/share/samba/smb.conf
/etc/samba/smb.conf
I did it last time and as far
i just made a fresh installation of ubuntu 9.04 and then an
upgrade..here there are results after installed restricted drivers:
