Suspend to RAM stopped working for me on my Thinkpad R500 (ATI Mobility

I run into the same problem. The problem was that I did not have the
mysql-server package installed. I removed the phpmyadmin package and its
dependencies, installed the mysql-server, and after this I reinstalled
the phpmyadmin package and everything was fine.

Wow was I off with the "b43-pci-bridge" idea! At any rate, I decided to
roll a custom, very lean 2.6.30.3 vanilla kernel to use as a baseline

While gnome-display-properties is running, the Applications menu is obscured an
can not be used.
The monitor name thing should either be transparent (both visually and for
mouse click) or movable.

Thanks for the report and working to make Ubuntu better. Have you had this
problem recently in Karmic? If so, could you run the following command in the
terminal:

computer randomly shuts down
The problem is present for the first time in the release r594.
The problem exists because in "via_video.c" , line 377 and 378, the value of :
pBIOSInfo->Panel->NativeMode->Width and
pBIOSInfo->Panel->NativeMode->Height
is zero.
The patch below fix the problem.

I experienced this problem under high network load on an Ubuntu 9.04 on
a Acer Aspire One. I found a solution in my case which may help. This
problem did not occur with the default ath5k wireless driver, but I had
tried to use the madwifi driver ath_pci, which didn't work, and then the
ndiswrappe
