now I don't still have AWN anymore 'cause I have re-installed Ubuntu and
I've not reinstalled. But in the last days I was restaring all GDM when AWN
crashes. I know it's annoying but it was a simple and rapid solution.. :(

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper
cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is
quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of
this project.
gparted is *not* part of the default install , hence not a papercut.
AFAIS in the gui there is no way to look at alsa controls anymore, is
there?
So I went to console and opened alsamixer and guess what - the channels were
set to 0. After making them louder it worked again.
It seems to me that pulseaudio does not change the underlying alsa controls for
the channe
As OCaml is doing a transition now from 3.11.0 to 3.11.1 and lablgtk2 is
part of this transition, I assume this be either fixed or dealt with
during the transition.

Further to tuxguitar-fluidsynth sound problems
Ubuntu Jaunty.
Tuxguitar using plugin tuxguitar-fluidsynth for sound playback with soundfonts
produces distortion, particularly with screen activity.
As an alternative I ran fluidsynth using the following command to load the
soundfont 32MbGMStereo.

Some other actions are also missing that are very helpfull.
