Likewise Open 5 command line utilities are not the same
Tested with Karmic dev version: Same problem here, Thinkpad T43 gets stuck to
lowest CPU speed as soon as CPU temperature is at 55C. Gets back to 2Ghz when

I am using Ubuntu 9.04 with 2.6.28-14-generic kernel on Asus Eee PC 701.
My webcam used to work fine with original Xandros and EasyPeasy (based
on Ubuntu 8.10), but on Jaunty Jackalope something is wrong with

My workplace uses RSA SecurID tags to authenticate access to our VPN. I
can't log into my workplace VPN using the Ubuntu VPN tools -- the
connection simply fails. I believe the VPN uses RSA SecurID over EAP
for authentication.

I can confirm this issue, as well. In my instance, I experience only a
high-pitched squeal that gradually builds over a few seconds and then
plateaus until I change the volume or play a sound, at which point a
"pop" sound is made. The proposed workaround works for me, as well.

Thilo, I tried your patched qt 4.5.0 with kde 4.3rc3 and it does not
solve the missing key shortcuts.
I also tried patching qt 4.5.1 and using it with kde 4.3rc3, but have
the same problem.
Fn-F10 does not work to eject.

Right, the problem still exists.
But I discovered that it's caused by KMS, so booting with 'nomodeset' in the
kernel config line is a good workaround.

Running off the DVD was excellent, that's why I decided to install it.
Every since the installation it takes forever to log on and then another
long span of time before any icons appear and I can do anything, and no
there is no welcoming sound starting up or logging on. thx

When I disable the wifi using Fn+F2, the system hangs with a kernel
panic instead of disabling wifi.
I'll try to catch the panic message properly and attach it here (but the
machine doesn't have a serial port, so it might take some hacking).
