respond to tapping that allows the touchpad to be used for left-button
clicking. The physical buttons work fine.

I have a similar problem: When I attach (via D-Sub) display to my laptop
(GeForce 8400M GS) it switches off the desktop effects and when I switch
them on, the screen gets white. It used to work even with the effects.

I have the same problem with git and webdav. While .netrc solution
provides a workaround (thanks for the hint), isn't it a bit

This could be something with the LG GH22NS40 optical drive. Once I

Your patch does work. I also tested it with rc4 and it boots just fine
with your patch. Of course, I also tested rc4 with the same config but
without your patch to make sure the bug had not been fixed in the

Thanks for the report, I can actually do that with the evolution version
from Karmic and IIRC the one on Jaunty worked fine that way as well, I
use that feature to create filters based on email addresses that i
search during the creating of the filter so yes it works ok, could you
try with the one

I have the "ntfsprogs" and still have run into troubles with ntfs
partitions where Xp was involved (i've never tried with Vista)

The gparted on other distros doesn't seem to have these problems, even
the same version numbers or earlier all seem to be fine but Ubuntu's one
seems broken somehow

Agreed. It's a usability modernization that never found its way into
Gnome--and it's the expectation of users coming from Win/Mac. This
should eclipse the personal preferences of people who already use
Unbuntu and ojbect. A concession could be made by adding a disable
switch in gconftool/gconf-e

You didn't install the liblircclient0 deb after you built it from what I see
above. dpkg doesn't have dependency resolution, you have to publish the
debs to repo and use a tool like apt-get.
