In the BIOS settings, neither ACPI nor ACPI APIC were enabled.
Enabling ACPI caused the system not to boot, due to bug 11941 I think, so I let
it disabled.
I enabled the flag ACPI APIC and did some stress tests... now the system

effective workaround using azap (or tzap/szap/czap if you don't tune to
ATSC channels).

Can someone please fix this bug? As Jakob pointed out, this is NOT the
intended behavior of PHP, hence why the upstream developers have fixed
this regression in 5.2.5. It doesn't make sense to leave this broken in
this (and only this) release of Ubuntu, especially for an LTS server
release.

Hi there
I've just installed a clean system and am having the same issue on an
AMD neo 64 based laptop with ATi hardware. Do you think it could be the
same issue? System wakes up, fans start and there's HD activity but it's
like it fails to restart the screen hardware.
