Pretty much reproducible. Nothing specific is required - just insert the
disk, unmount it from computer location and push eject button to see
that nothing happens. Additional annoyance is that unmount requires
authorization. Anything else I can turn on to debug this misbehaviour?

For me after updating NVIDIA driver from 180.44 to 185.18.14 it is even

I have the same problem (on Jaunty 9.04), and originally thought it was
like bug #228746. However, that one seems to lead to more general USB
failures, while I only encounter a random hang with USB mice (the USB
keyboard still works, but re-inserting the mouse, or another one, does
