I am experiencing a similar enough issue to consider the same bug.
SOMETIMES on logout, the monitor goes blank. The computer is still
active as I can type a username and password, and log in just fine.
Also, if I simply turn the monitor off and on, the picture comes back.

Weird behavior: it happened twice - first time when pressing the button
without deletion, then after restart AFTER emptying the trash. Also I
tried to simulate the problem by deleting some files then emptying the

I was using mixxx in combination with JACK and hydrogen and some other
stuff.. since JACK is not supported for jaunty the whole setup is
broken.
I think, JACK is a really common and essential part of advanced linux audio
usage..

Using Intrepid (everything updated) and I get this problem (but with

The sound is definitely from the harddrive, not from the speakers. So it has to
be a bug in the kernel, right?
But I'm unable to found a package to relate to the kernel (linux-kernel,

I had another round of fight we the issue. My father said that he would
switch back to Win if the printer would not start to work soon.
I made some changes to the system:
1) install foo2zjs from sources
2) install foomatic-db-hpijs
3) install foo2zjs from packages
