The way my ISP works is that I have two routers.
One is theirs, which is locked down tight, and has the 192.168.80.80 address as
it's internal IP.
The other is mine, which I have as 192.168.1.1 (all machines internally are on
the 192.168.1.1 subnet), and 192.168.80.1 on the external port.
The ISP
I have the same problem as described in the original bugmessage. Only
with me the problem only occurs when I''m in step 2 clicking on a
bookmark pointing to a no langer existing samba location. I could not
reproduce it with an valid samba location.
Let me know if anyone wants to do more testing.

I disabled my SSID broadcast last night and tested each of the WPA
security settings on the wireless router. The WPA Personal, WPA2, WPA2
Mixed options with the SSID broadcast disabled did not allow my Dell
Mini to connect at all. Once I enabled SSID broadcast, it would connect

Tests with either SSH or sudo, my first password attempt is rejected, yet the

Tim, per your request I tried disabling SSID broadcast at my main AP. My

as you can figure is the first time i compile from source. I'm pretty
newbe at this level. Thank you for your message.
I applied all the patches in the right sequence and I successfully complied the
package.
Unfortunately running baobab returns many critical errors. Maybe i have the

Still there in karmic, reindexing fixes it, then it reappears. In this
way, it more or less happens that every time I need to find a file, I
have to reindex first.

Currently when logging in to KDE, most people have to type their
password twice: Once for KDM and then for KWallet (see also bug 38821).
A PAM integration like the one Gnome Keyring has would be great to avoid
this.
Of course there are still plans to unify all keyring manager
Nominating as Paper Cut even though its a new feature: A patch exists
and its a really annoying thing for new Kubuntu users to run into.

i tried the proprietary driver that shows up in the hardware drives gui
and that doesnt work, so i use the b43-fwcutter which i have been using
since it became available in feisty with no problems.

I have an old 866Mhz machine with 256MB RAM.
Top only shows this process consuming around 40% of the CPU.
However, this process brings my machine to its knees.
The mouse doesn't move well. Menus take forever to pop-up.
Programs won't close without the warning "Application is not responding".
