I have found that you need to make specify where the Global Catalog Server name
is (ask your admin)
Menu -> Preferences
select mail accounts, select your account name, click the 'Edit' button
in the 'Receiving Options' tab put your Global Catalog server name in (often
your domain name, your OWA U
No response from user.

When building nvidia kernel module for older nvidia card support, dkms failes
with:
nvidia (96.43.10): Installing module.
..(bad exit status: 10)
Build failed. Installation skipped.
Upon further investigation, running the following shows why dkms fails:

This package has been removed and is no longer available in Ubuntu. It
has also been removed from upstream: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=383738#45 .
Although still applicable to 8.04, newer releases don't have this
package available, so I suggest closing the bug.
