Just tried to install the edgers drivers on a live Cd but didn't work.
So far I still need the machine running and do not want to destroy it

Satellite R15-s822 laptop. While using Firefox, Ubuntu would freeze up.
Sometimes I could move the cursor, but other times it would freeze too.

I have the same problem. What dump/logs do you need to troubleshoot?
100% CPU usage, jaunty is unuasable while doing file transfers from/to any
medium (network, usb, sd memory).

I'm also having 100% cpu with Skype and PulseAudio.
Jaunty + Pulse Audio + Skype
It worked perfectly fine with Intrepid.
Perhaps an earlier version of Pulse could be made available in backports
repository?

Using 9.04 UNR on a Dell mini 9, I'm unable to use the microphone.
Tuning the settings in the sound volume control the best I get is static
hiss over which can just hear a loud clap as a faint click when
recorded/played back in the sound recorder device.

This still has not been fixed as of 0.5.0.1 at least. It bit my wife

it isn't an issue for me anymore. Those things happened when I made an
upgrade to 9.04 beta. After some time I felt quite uncomfortable with
the situation, so I decided to make a complete new installation using a
final release image.
Hence, I didn't ever encounter that bug again.
