I can confirm this in Jaunty. If 2 users are logged in, and 1 logs out, the
locked screen dialog only allows you to type a password to unlock it. The
buttons are locked, i.e. Leave Message, Unlock, etc.

The Ubuntu machine is at work. I'll try it out monday. I am running Debian
unstable at home. Digikam works with respect to the kio issue on the Debian.
I hit quit a bit of issues in kde4 on both machines. Kde3 has been
solid for a long time.

I think that the crash is gnome bug 569260, which should be fixed in
gnome 2.26 (ubuntu 9.04). However, the fix does not let the networking
extensions authenticate to proxies when they couldn't before. It just
prevents a crash in that situation.

I did some changes and installations, but i think the problem came when
i installed Skype. I didn't check right away after the installation if
the sound was ok or not. One thing is sure, the problem was resolved by:

Have you tried "m-a -f get virtualbox-ose", as suggested?
But, after all, virtualbox-ose in Intrepid uses DKMS and should automatically
build the required module for you.
That does not mean that there is no bug here, but rather that you do not have
to use module-

Exactly the same problem here. When I try to install icedtea6-plugin, it
installs pulseaudio dependencies in Kubuntu Jaunty 9.04 too.
In consequence every time that I install it, the flash videos come
soundless and if I play them anyway, they just crash.

I tried that model-basic, and it *seems* to work.
because I can see at pulse audio server the microphone is working, and
when I run skype, this gets the internal mic working, but I cannot hear
my voice at skype call test.

FDS 1.2.0 is already out, would you please update your port to 1.2.0?
Also the next ubuntu LTS release is 10.4, which Canonical doesn't like
introduce new features in, so if we want FDS to make it into the next
