Some extra information, the NetworkManager remains running while this
problem occurs. And as workaround instead of rebooting you can do a

As I understand it from the status page, only the vino task is marked Fix
released, which is simply a workaround in vino.

I am able to switch between my and flashydaves problem by turning on and off
HTML encoding when sending. I get my kind of problem (i.e. stuck in outbox)
when HTML encoding is disabled and flashydaves problem when HTML encoding is
enabled.
I can not test sending to external recipients. Furtermore
I had the same problem in Jaunty (Eplus in Germany with NetworkManager
and Sierra MC8775 Modem). On the first dial i don't get DNS. After
disconnect and reconnect it worked. I have changed ipcp-max-failure to
30 in /etc/ppp/options. This is a workaround witch works for me.

I tried to build openchrome with your patch, but I can't conform if it
works, because on my screen was just grey fog(but computer reacted
normally). I've had to reinstall xserver-xorg-video-openchrome package
from repository.
Editing of /etc/X11/xorg.cong(the Display subsection) worked.

Hi, I have exactly this problem using fedora 9 and a DVICO FusionHDTV
DVB-T Dual Digital 4 card so this is not an ubuntu issue.
uname -r
2.6.27.23-78.2.50.fc9.x86_64
The problem seems to occur randomly (usually immediately after boot) and when
it does I get various
