I think fixed is too strong a term as it still takes a very long time for
the device to turn up. I think the consequences of this bug are reduced
(slow boot instead of failed boot), but the underlying defect is still
present.

As Gerfried notes, this package can be synced from debian. The only
change in Ubuntu is to change the link to wqy-zenhei.ttc to wqy-
zenhei.ttf (bug 360347). But that fix is wrong anyway. So it should be
overridden with debian's better fix (changing the other half of the link
statement from ttf-

OK, its broken again... sorry for the noise.
It seems that it has something to do with my display setup. If I have an
external (22") monitor attached and use it side by side with the laptop display
it seems to work. If I start the notebook without the 22" it is broken again,
even on Jaunty.

I am not 100% certain but I think that in this case they modified these
for OOo 3.1.x. There have been other libraries in the past that had
modifications but at the time we were still using mostly internal copies
so didn't run into that issue.
I can continue to just use the internal copies if that
I forgot to mention that since Debian has now uploaded OOo 3.1.0 into
unstable they have also moved these packages to unstable as well. So the
potential for other packages to use these regardless of whether we stick
them in main is still there.

This tooltip is not misleading as dragging a window to another workspace
works. It doesn't work when Compiz is enabled because Compiz doesn't
support it. Try to disable Compiz and you'll see that it works perfectly
fine with Metacity.

Jaunty: window switcher tooltips stick when they shouldn't
My computer ran most of the day without freezing after disabling the
network connection. I re-enabled it in order to submit my logs and it
froze up before I could get into this page. I'm sure it has to do with

Here is a screen capture of the system monitor after a reboot, then as I
open a folder with a ton of jpgs. then I close it..re - open and close
it again. Open a different folder. then clos them all. and the memory
doesnt drop.

Note that the SRU contains the fixes for two bugs. The patch for this
bug looks bigger than it really is as I have also updated the comments
according to the changes. There are only 3 or 4 code lines which got
changed.

I can confirm that disabling (just renaming away
/etc/xdg/autostart/HuaweiAutoStart.desktop) does indeed "cure" the
problem.
