Making progress. Added a DebugLevel option with a value of 10 to the
wacom sections in xorg.conf. Also found out that the package xserver-
xorg-core-dbg containing the required Xorg debug symbols does exist, it
just isn't printed by dpkg -l. With those tools in place, the situation

Upon closer inspection, the vertical axis (X) is Ok, but the horizontal
axis is not.
If i touch the screen exactly in the middle, the coordinates are ok. But
as soon as I move right or left, the movement is amplified until it is

1) I made sure I had all the updates, applied them and restarted.
2) Logged in
3) Waited a few seconds and put a recorded CDRW media:

Hello all,
I'm having the same issue. Upgraded to Jaunty from Intrepid right now
(9.04 RC) and got this issue.
installed:
nvidia-180-kernel-source 180.44-0ubuntu1
nvidia-180-libvdpau 180.44-0ubuntu1
nvidia-glx-180 180.44-0ubuntu1
nvidia-settings 180.25-0ubuntu1
Solved by:
1) Open gconf-editor
could you try on jaunty and send to GNOME if that's still an issue?

Will do, Pedro - Is the upgrade path from 9.04 RC to 9.04 final clean
enough that I can just go ahead and upgrade now without major headache
when final comes out in a week?

I am using a fresh install of 9.04 patched up to date. I followed the
8.10 fix.
sudo nano /etc/modprobe.d/options
add "options snd_hda_intel model=mbp3"
This fixed audio out of the speakers, but not my headphones.
