I can confirm this happens on 2 different PCs with Nvidia cards.
One is a Core 2 Duo with a 8600GT and the other is an Athlon 64 with an

Yeah, it appears that diff cannot appropriately parse Unicode filenames.
I tested this quite a bit and discovered that diff can distinguish
filenames if
* they are different lengths or
* they have ASCII characters that are different (or in different locations).

I did a fresh install of Jaunty netbook remix beta on my Acer Aspire One
110 (8 GB SSD) then used a wired network connection to install all the
latest updates. After rebooting, the wifi worked straight away without
any problems.

After update today the problem has improved. The system settings is
translated, but some applications mix sections translated with others

It has nothing to do with mac4lin project as I have never installed it.

I have to agree with Lionel, even as I have disabled installing
recommendations myself.
If you have disabled installation of recommended packages, then you
can't expect everything working. At least you should be aware that a
single package won't bring you all the functionality (with depends only)
