Well,
I did some mistake with this bug report.
First off all I didn't enable the LMT and smartd on my system.
Now I have ENABLE_LAPTOP_MODE=true on /etc/default/acpi-support
and start_smartd=yes on /etc/default/smartmontools.
In attachment some files:

oh, i forgot to mention, that turning off composite in kwin (kubuntu) has no
effect at all.
others mentioned that on ubuntu, turning off compiz, makes no difference, too.

After installing the revision I find that when running gwibber twitter
is locking me out for too many login requests after about 20 mins. I

This seems to be a generic bug with Transmission and checksumming
downloaded files. It will happily tell you that the files are correct
until you move them to another folder and actually force transmission to

Have this problem since my Jaunty upgrade. Upgraded from existing
intrepid install. Config identical to hostname config. In fact I can
still boot into a snapshot of the pre-upgrade intrepid (have backups, at

Also rhythmbox seems to always stop at the end of a track and for the same
album it doesn't always stop at the same track.
