Yes, those squashfs errors indicate an underlying problem with running
from a broken CD (or broken player, or bad RAM). Before you solve these
problems, do not expect other stuff to work right. I'd recommend making

I moved my /home directory to a new separated partition (ext4) from the
terminal (gdm stopped).

After upgrading from 8.10 interpid to jaunty 9.04 beta.
When i play video files like .avi, swf etc, all videp players just dont play
it. It quits without returning error.
Also when i tried to play with VLC, it restarts my X server. have to do login
again
