Just wanted to briefly report a positive test case. I upgraded form
Intrepid to Jauntu two days ago on an old Compaq Evo D510 SFF desktop
machine with the notoriously buggy Intel i845. X would not start except
in low graphics mode
Errhmmm... Please ignore my prev ious comment. Turns out that the dongle
had lost its association with the mouse and keyboard and the wireless
keyboard/mouse combo is in fact working perfectly. Yes, I should have
checked that.

This has just started happening for me - only with html messages, but
100% reproducible.
Though I should add that the non-response has been going on for a long
time (don't recall how many versions): when evolution has decided it is
doing something it's non-response to a window closure circumvents

The gnome-control-center package provides the gnome-mouse-settings
binary that toggles this, though I'm not sure where the actual bug lies
within the gnome stack. Confirming based on comments.
