The bug was actually fixed due to a new feature which we won't be able to
backport to our packages. (Too late in the release cycle)
I'm afraid we'll have to live with this one until KDE 4.3, when we can release
a fix. :(
The fix has been committed upstream, so I am marking this bug
accordingly.
Well now it is magically working... both yesterday and earlier this
morning it was working with 3.0.1 and wasn't with 3.2.0 at the same
time. Now it is working fine with both. I haven't changed anything
except ran it with -d 4. I will keep beating on it today and see if it

I can confirm this bug.
After updating from intrepid I cannot boot the current kernel 2.6.28-11-generic.
When resetting the PC I get:
Grub loading stage 1.5
Boot from (hd0,0) ext3 08dd... (the uuid)
Starting up ...
Then it stops.
Luckily it boots with the older kernel 2.6.27-11-generic

I have removed the patch for catching the MIPOINTER nullptr errors, and
applied the patch from upstream. After testing, I am not able to
reproduce the bug. It seems that patch fixes this problem.

Uh, reboot fixed it.
I had much problems with wireless yesterday (upgrading to Jaunty). But it works
now, sorry. I'll file a new bug if I get problems again.

network manager can't find the card.

Update 13 is out. But Jaunty already have u12 package. So I guess it
