I would just like to add, that I only get this redraw problems with EXA
(default). If I switch to UXA/DRI2, then performance is better and I did
not see any redraw problems.

Usually I can get the audio to start in Rhythmbox by restarting the file
a few times until it finally plays, but occassionally you'll get loads

I tried this again with Jaunty now and this time I got an actual error
message saying that it can't show the video because I'm behind a
firewall. I have a vague memory that it just played automatically in
Windows, but I no longer got a Windows box around so I can't test it.

I hope your suspicions are wrong because flash videos pretty much
cripples Firefox in this release. You are absolutely right about OpenGL
acceleration being flaky, even playing a DVD movie is somewhat difficult

Sebastien, thanks for this hint. Noticed that you have to install
evolution-exchange additionally in Evolution. This is new. So far,
evolution-exchange has always been part of Ubuntu's default installation
(in all versions from 7.04 upwards). This has apparently been changed
(deliberately or accide
if its in beta its likely not to be including in Jaunty lets wait until its
more mature (release wise)that also doesnt fit into a SRU but i will leave that
to Alexander to see what he says on this

I am affected by this bug as well. It's not related to the brightness
setting as I don't allow X to dim my display. Also switching to a tty
doesn't fix this for me; I have to kill X to fix it.
