I found this today which seems to know what's going on. Not sure if it
is compatible with 9.04 but I'll be trying it out with both 8.10 and

I just talked to Matthias. He says that our icedtea6-plugin is slightly
older than the current sun-java6 (by about half a yera), so there might
be applets which don't work yet with the free plugin. However, that by
itself shouldn't be a sufficient reason for including this into

Dropping milestone, nobody is assigned to that bug. If you think it
should be fixed in Jaunty, please get it assigned to someone and target
it to jaunty. Adding milestones to a non-release task without an

As it really seems to me it is the same bug, I attach a odt file with
German text. If both hunspell-de-de and hunspell-de-med are installed,
almost all words are marked as incorrect and corrections from the
medical dictionary are suggested.
