If you upgraded, you hould still have some older kernels installed. If
you boot and press "esc" you get into the boot menu ("grub") where you
can select older kernels. Start with 2.6.27-something, which is the
Ubuntu 8.10 Linux kernel, check if it works again, and if so, please
work your way upward

There have been some significant improvements with -intel on Jaunty.
Can you please test against Jaunty Alpha 4 or newer? When you test,
please check both "EXA" and "UXA" AccelMethod's.
I suspect this may be a mesa bug rather than -intel but we'll leave it

I can confirm this: no password or no_proxy variables are written to
/etc/environment.
This probably means this bug affects all 'terminal' apps, since they
would all need the passwd and no proxy infor;ation to function
correctly...

I'm using pidgin-libnotify and I discovered a problem in notify-osd (maybe a
design problem, not sure).
When a buddy writes me a lot of lines (say 25) all messages are queued and
showed in the bubbles. Every bubble stays there for 7 seconds.
