For the previous xorg log I killed the runaway process (k9copy) when it

I have the same problem here. I am using Ubuntu Jaunty with the updates
from Feb 25th 2009. When I do:

Well, I restared the system and it got almost useless!! I can't log in
anymore!! The unique way I can use my laptop now is if I start Ubuntu in
recovery mode, log in as root and type "startx". I can not switch users.

I tried adding:
options cfg80211 ieee80211_regdom=EU
on my Thinkpad X200 with Intel 5300. Makes wireless stop working
altogether, with the following log output:
"cfg80211: Unknown parameter `ieee80211_regdom'"
So the workaround from bug #288401 doesn't seem to be applicable here.

A note for anyone who reached this page by googling a compilation error:
The problem was present in player 2.0.4 (build 93057); it's apparently
fixed in 2.5.1 (build 126130). So, if you get this, the problem is
easily fixed by upgrading your VMware Player.

So I'm told this happens on all ARM boards which Jerone is using.
Jerone, please attach with gdb and report the output of the backtrace
command on all threads (see wiki page on debugging); also you could try
stracing g-kr.

Still an issue with FF3, Wine 1.15 and the latest Move Media Player.
Also noteworthy is that (at least for me( this does not work on
Virtualbox or VMware... possibly something to do with the video drivers?

After the latest updates it's working fine. Can't reproduce it anymore.
