Locks up all the time. HH even locks up if the computer is left on for any
period of tiem. If you mean ver 8.10 I can't get it to run from a dvd.

Well, I have not tested _every_ time a user logs off, but the short
answer is yes. Although I no longer have access to the network where I

I can get past the event storm. After 3 - 4 hours of waiting. But then
kernel panic: out of memmory. Can I boot my system without reinstalling?

Also, the problem does not happen when I attempt to duplicate this bug
and the mute button is not recognized (ie: it works, but does not get
the OSD for mute). On a later report of this I noted that this appears
to have something to do with events being recognized. (xserver-xorg-
input-evdev).

FWIW: I've never encountered this bug on Solaris, so presumably whatever
the old code was meant to fix works fine there. I'll look at compiling
a vim with this patch, and see if it fixes the problem on Linux, and/or
breaks it again on Solaris.
