Just today (8.30 GMT) I reinstalled Kubuntu Jaunty Alpha 4, and dist-upgraded
to the current state.
The network manager plasmoid still shows a greyed out wlan0 with an enable
switch, which will not turn on.
Am I missing something? - some people seem to have more luck than me.

Unfortunately I see no improvement with xserver-xorg-video-ati 6.11 in
jaunty.
I would like to notice that since jaunty alpha3 the problem occurs only
with a particular monitor. With other monitors, projectors I 've tried

I can reproduce the part where if you "don't first remove the
/media/External directory, it will mount it to /media/External_".
This seems to be a permissions problem. gnome-mount uses HAL to mount
external mediums. HAL usually mounts to /media/$disklabel. If you

I think the Ubuntu is loading the wrong driver (module) for my soud
card. I suppose Ubuntu is using snd_hda_intel module.
When I load the snd_intel8x0 module, it work
cpudyn manage dynamically steps (looking at powertop), but cpu is goodly
activated 1600Mhz by default.
Under powertop, with powerd it was at 800MHz 100% (half speed).
