I just remembered some details which may be helpful.
During the 'upgrade' from 8.04 to 8.10 there were 2 error message both
as a 'pop-up' and also in that 'black box with white text' which gives
information on installation. However, I quickly forgot about it as
everything worked after installation

After running all updates that had come up through the night last night,
totem-gstreamer no longer crashes. Movie Player application now loads

I'm using Interpid Ibex.
When I play a video with totem (or vlc, or mplayer), Xorg freezes.
Ctrl+Alt+Backspace doesn't work,
This bug seems that this is fixed in aptitude 0.5.1-1 which is in debian
experimental now. I guess its too late to sync now?

On a Radeon X1550 the screen gets black every few minutes for some seconds -
it's quite annoying. This happens in Intrepid as well as in Jaunty (with and
without Compiz activated).
Neither the dmesg or Xorg says anythin

My Ubuntu has updated, and the file has changed. So my modem don't work
