I had the same kernel panic problem on my Acer Aspire One with Kubuntu
8.04-Alternate just after my last kernel update, with an additional issue,
however: upon initial installation I had chosen to encrypt my hard drive
(brilliant idea !!), hence I cannot even see the GRUB sequence at boot-up.

Finally got a chance to test that.
With the abovementioned option, horkage is fixed. Typing in the
identi.ca "What's up" box seems more responsive. The memscroller
screensaver is much, much slower.

4gb drive, went to Create a USB startup disk, tried to install xubuntu

I got an Aspire One here now and try to get to the bottom of the issue.
It is hard to tell how long this will exactly take since I will have to

Hi all, I am suffering the same issue with TDMA-1 my sytem works fine, but with
HDMI-1 no.
I f I boot without the HDMI cable connected, the system boot as TDMS and if I
plug the cable my projector works great.
Once I reboot with the cable, I get the HDMI-1 and the the projector shows two
images.
The same here, with SVN revision 1851.

There seems to have been a recent update in Jaunty that self-corrects
the frequency after a minute or so and the speakers then behave well.
This from the log file:

As far as I can see, the -xen kernel has been summarily dropped post
Hardy, so whether or not it's fixed in later releases seems somewhat
moot.
The PPA buildds run the latest Hardy Xen kernel available, which is why
I'm so keen to get an SRU, precisely so that we can fix this problem for
mono PPA
rejecting the u-m upstream task, opening & marking triaged/wishlist the
Ubuntu u-m task.

I come from kubuntu 8.04, where kdetv worked fine with my tv card.
Under kubuntu 9.04, kdetv does not show my tv card. But with for example xawtv,
everything works fine.
Here is the console output of kdetv. You can see that the card is correctly
detected. But it is not shown

It must be an automatic bug reporting of compiz, since I never posted the
bug manually. I even do not know what happened exactly, I only saw that

I confirm it on Intrepid with kde 4.2.
Too bad I originally thought it was an fglrx rendering issue. Indeed it
is not: you get it also with the radeon driver.
Furthermore, problems are not limited to the scrollbars. Minor glitches
also appear with "tabs".

have asked you to re-report this bug using apport, which provides needed
