Managed to solve it. The disk was used and the liveCD had mounted sdb so
the raid device volume could not be recognized.
After unmount sdb, I had the correct info from dmraid -ay.
So I am now running Ibex on Raid 0 with my Intel array.

Pointer (under System -> Preferences -> Mouse), then the problem goes

Yup, just did it the day before yesterday. It doesn't make sense to look

So as it seems to be not specific to nvidia drivers, it is probably a Xorg
bug...
I'll try to run firefox in gdb, it may be useful.

quite inactive.

I've installed it using Synaptic In Ubuntu 8.10 and it was v. 0.9 there.
But probably it's an earlier version in earlier releases of Ubuntu.
