kcachegrind opens callgrind.out.
Observed behavior:
kcachegrind is unable to open the file. Instead it tries (and fails) to open
callgrind.
It's just the opposite of a trap; it's a further safety measure. It
arranges that, *even if* an autotools update is accidentally run, then
everything will still work. The intention is not that an autotools
update *should* be run - I agree that that is often risky - but to
provide insurance in case

While debugging bug 309307 I tried to install apport in a virtual environment
created by python-virtualenv via easy_install. But this failed for two reasons:
1.) hardcoded "/etc/..." in setup.py (data_files argument)
2.) apport/packaging_impl.py
GIMP (original printing dialog, "File"/"Print" has exactly the same
problem as eog, but in addition, the preview shows only the upper left
corner of the picture (the print job contains the full picture). So as
in eog a very small-sized PDF is sent to CUPS. The sent attributes,
especially the paper

I have a similar problem. I have two identical machines (fujitsu siemens
scenic n300) with an intel i865G graphics card. One runs 8.04 (remote

One note.
The lockup happened at 'Jan 6 13:01:09', you can search that string
into the kern.log to see the last records before I pressed the reset
button.
