2) Make sure that snap lines are visible from the view menu.
3) Insert a snap line (Insert->Insert Snap Point/Line...)
4) There are two minor variations on the bug:
a) Right click the snap line, and choose "Edit Snap Line...
the same pc with windows recognises the audio cd's. so, in my opinion,
its not an hardware problem.

The network manager in KDE 4.1 does not seem to support dialup

I had the same crash, on a nearly identical machine except that I was
installing on a 320GB using the whole disk. No partitions. It was a
hardware raid, but the mirror was broken at the time.

This is no longer a bug in Intrepid which ships a later version of
compiz. If you try to move a window which shows on all desktops it
blinks (fade in and out) to show this operation is not possible. No lost
windows in Intrepid any more.
