running compiz. I just did a quick test and metacity does not fix the

Tried the new Jaunty version. Same result: the copy buttons are grayed
out.
I checked the gconf entries for Meld but didn't see anything suspicious
there.

I had to go in the Volume Control applet, go into preferences and check
"Headphone Jack Sense", click Ok, and then go in the Parameters tab and
check Headphone Jack Sense. At that point, the speakers muted themselves
automatically when plugging headphones.

This works for me with Firefly on a Intrepid server and intrepid
desktop. The DAAP spec had changed previously which may broken it when
using two different versions.
The only other thing I can think of is that you may have uninstalled or
disabled avahi service?

Installer crashe
I'm attaching the debdiff, but I really wouldn't recommend this be
released. It's a hack, cleaning up the mess that usplash left. Really
we should prevent usplash from leaving a mess in the first place,
because it may not only be scribbling on the palette registers.
