problem in /etc/profile.d/gvfs-bash-completion.sh
from package gvfs-bin.

Yes it was. Any other drives shown would also have been mounted.
However the issue is NOT confined to USB drives. Anything above the
divider seems to be fair game although I have not yet seen Trash grab

I haven't seen any problems with amdpowernow. I’ve disabled quiet and
splash options. When I’m booting live, there’s no error message (of
course, the GUI won't show), but if I go to “install Ubuntu”, the thing
crashes when it tries to start ubiquity:

I have the same exact problem. I have Windows XP Installed, and trying
to install Ubuntu 8.10 and I get the same error when clicking "Install
Ubuntu" in the Ubuntu ISO installation cd.

changing COMP_WORDBREAKS in /etc/profile.d/gvfs-bash-completion.sh
has nasty effect on other completions, at least on "scp".

I think this was fixed in the upstream module somewhere between
versions 1.0204 and 1.0208. I can no longer reproduce the problem and
the code causing the problem has been completely rewritten.

"-u" option was necessary when I tried to use ntpdate with firewall.
So I've used "-u" option since then.
Now, I executed ntpdate & ntpdate-debian command without "-u" option.
They could access ntpserver with firewall(ufw) without "-u" option.

I have the same identical wireless card and had the same issue in Gutsy,
and it seems to me that this is no longer an issue in Intrepid. Looks
like the kernel developers did some good work.
