Sorry, but I do not see the issue fixed. I have updated the version
recently, and for one game, namely Supertuxkart the issue is fixed. But
for the others the issue remains, although in a different way. i.e.
launching Supertux2 makes the screen completely weired and the game
cannot played, cause th

the other bug seems to get a lot more attention and is reported upstream, so
i'm sure it'll get fixed sooner rather than later...

This error occured here too, rebooting with the 2.6.24-19-generic kernel
works. Booting with 2.6.24-21-generic results in Xorg starting in VESA
mode. Manually probing nvidia gives the above reported error.
