I know it can do those resolutions easily. So I type "cvt 960 600 50" and I get

I am unable to recreate this bug. gftp is working just fine on my
system. I am able to connect to ftp site, navigate to a folder
containing more than 600 files, and able to delete them without any
problems.

I have deactivated: "Detecting RANDR (monitor) changes"-service. Since
then crashing has stopped, but there is still a problem. Every few

Thanks for you advices. I have uninstalled the ATI driver then got to
reset the the ATI driver using menu > System > Administration >
Hardware Drivers.
It installed correctly and I managed to reboot and login without any
problems :). Moreover I have managed to play videos fine this t

Okay, that helps explain why the rc.0 one alone did nothing for me --
I'm usually rebooting! ;-/
So the workaround is to do both --
sudo ln -s /etc/init.d/NetworkManager /etc/rc0.
Same problem for me, running Ubuntu Intrepid on an HP NC6000 using the
atheros drivers: when I come out from hibernate: 1) wifi networks listed
by network manager are wrong, 2) I can't reconnect to any wifi network.
The simplest workaround I found is to run "sudo rmmod ath_pci, followed
by sudo m

The Belkin Wireless Desktop Network Card F5D6001 v1 fails to configure
properly in Ubuntu Server 8.10. Default configuration shows the hostap
and hostap_pci kernel modules loaded, leading to the devices wlan0 and
wifi0 being listed in iwconfig, but neither showing up in ifconf
This package is in non-free, and so it won't be auto-synced.

Rhythmbox no longer remembers daap shares. I have a Hardy box and a
gutsy server. The guts server has a firefly daap share that shares
music with all of my machines. Every time I open Rhythmbox I have to

I think it worked here using the "Indirect Rendering" option with
compiz,,,
I used the fusion-icon to select the option, but it can be used by console
somehow,,,
Now konsole refresh on time, without messing things up

I am running Ubuntu 8.10 32 bit.
I have a Logitech Dinovo Edge bluetooth keyboard/trackpad that used to
work correctly after suspend resume until the latest update to package
bluez 4.12-0ubuntu5. Now I must unplug and replug the bluetooth dongle
to get it to work again following a resume from s3
