I have found that at least on my Dell Studio 15, that the problem seems
to come and go as various updates to the kernel are made. What appears
to happen for me is that the various updates are changing the volume of
the PCM alsa mixer channel, and only when this channel is set to 0
volume do I see

I just tested reading the MMC card on the same laptop under windows XP
and it worked fine, I did that test to make sure that it is not a
hardware malfunction.
Also that MMC card worked fine on another laptop that got a Ricoh R5C822
card reader, that other laptop is running Intrepid.

blacklist. Now it loads orinoco_pci and wireless works fine.

Yes of course this is reproductible, unfortunately I haven't keep the
video files but you can try downloading any video files with Vuze
Azureus 3.1.1.0 but I'm sorry for you because I suppose It will make you
a while before to download the video file that bug totem.

I have just committed to KDE code to launch konqueror on unsupported protocol.
The notice in the statusbar now is "protocol not supported by Dolphin,
Konqueror has been launched".
The upstream bug has been closed with that commit

No. Out of the box I got the white screen of death.
I then inserted the Live CD that shipped with the computer, then selected
"safe graphics mode" and installed the standard Gnome version.
Once Gnome was installed, the resolution was 800x600 using Vesa driver.
Then, from Adaptec Package Manager, I

somebody is doing the required work that will be considered
