Hello,
if the remote system is Solaris 10 it needs patch 119759-45 (on SPARC)
or 119060-44 (on x86), for Solaris 9 patch 112785-64 (SPARC) or
112786-53 (x86).
I don't know if the error occurs from other systems but at least the
Solaris patches work as expected.

It is possible that mdadm isn't faulty -- I have similar problems with
my root partition (JFS) since upgrade to hardy. I didn't originally
report it, because I was using fairly broken system and non-standart
suspend method (uswsusp), but now happened the same with intrepid.

Hi,
the sound card is not detected at all, says that no card is on the
system. I have gone to the site, and have looked at the script, however
i have cannot get it to run, sorry complete noob at ubuntu. Can you
create a script for to run maybe? i am running ubunutu 8.10, latest
patches.

The following message appeared during an attempt to upgrade from 'Hardy' on two
separate occasions. Internet/network connections are fine - others online at
the time of the 'crash'.
Version upgrade being manged through Adept.

I don't know wha the problem was, but after changing managed=false to
managed=true in nm-sysstem-settings and an update, it now shuts down
quicker than any other os I've had on my computer.
Boot up also now only takes 4 minutes - another record. It still comes up
with "over 4gb ignoring" and still
here is the sources.list

the error also occurred with my radeonhd driver so it's not restricted
to xserver-xorg-video-i810.

apparently you can do
sudo aptitude install firefox-3.0 ubufox= gksu=
or
sudo aptitude -s -R install firefox
but although a few people acknoledged this bug it really seems to be a
wontfix ..

Tarball of /proc/acpi directory. You can't just tar all files because their
content sometimes changes etc.

SOLUTION: Please note my problem above. I have found a solution and want
to contribute back the solution to the community.
the CC compiler error with nvidia was fixed by using:
export CC=/usr/bin/gcc so that it uses the current gcc and the compile
went fine.
