dbus-conf starts a script /usr/bin/pulse-session
This starts directly the pulseaudio daemon, thus passing by
/etc/default/pulseaudio and /etc/init.d
Changing pulse-session with below lines might help: (or you just start

The removal happens because the dependencies in "language-support-fi"
changed from recommending "language-pack-fi" to suggesting "language-

Sorry for all the posts.
So the problem is still there and the patch does need to be applied. BUT
there is a new profile for network manager called "Auto Mobile Broadband
(GSM)" . That no longer attempts to set the APN but on dial *99#. So the
problem is skipped.
Patch still needs to be applied.
I get the same with the RC and K3b. After k3b completes it ejects and
immediately reloads. This has only been happening fairly recently.
New internal Samsung drive (though I doubt it's anything to do with the
make of drive). It's the same with either CD or DVD.

Trying to play an audio file from console (not KDE) works fine - if I
start a console in KDE I get this:

I could reproduce the bug. Ghostscript indeed makes too big temporary
files when feeding it with the print job output (PDF) of eog or GIMP and
choosing a resolution of 1200 dpi. PDF files of other apps are OK. This

you really have a bunch of extensions installed. such a huge amount of
extensions can cause all kind of issues. you think you can isolate your
issue with just one extension installed?

I resized a fat32 partition on an external firewire drive. It completed
the actual resize, and was in the stage of "growing" the filesystem.
This seemed to be taking forever and I left it overnight

The powerbtn.sh in /etc/acpi is obsolete in intrepid kde4.
I try a simple script, to test dbus:
