not available. Do you have linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24 installed? It

Just so you know, this is fixed in Intrepid (Kubuntu 8.10) beta. At
least it works for me here and I did no patching (since I didn't know
what to do - see my previous comment). I just kept updating the system
until finally one day I gave it a shot again and it worked.

I don't think it's a good idea to replace this text field by one, because it
removes the possibility to print several ranges at once, separated by commas.
Example:

checked with the Guest session and it's missing there too, so it's not a
problem in my gnome config.

For example, if I want to enter 6,7 it enters 67... I can't access the coma.

I can confirm that scrolling in Firefox is quite CPU intensive. This is
with Firefox 3.0.1 on hardy with a ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Xpress
1250 display chip (not sure if that's even relevant here).
