Now, the error has improved, but not dissapeared. I changed the
gstreamer-option to alsa as suggested, and now i can get some sound from
both Rythmbox and Totem. I have found an .ogg-file on my computer that

And conveniently it just happened to me as I went to the next building.
This is just after waking the laptop up from suspend and letting it try
and auto-connect. First time failed. Only had to enter in the

We have a classroom of identical (HP dx5150MT) machines running Ubuntu

i've noticed that deleting the whole .kde folder actually solves this

I can solve the problem following the steps in http://www.ubuntu-
es.org/index.php?q=node/41372:
1. Delete the detected printer in System->Administration->Printing
2. Turn off the printer and unplug the USB cable.
3. Open terminal and run the following commands:
(download the driver)
$ wg
I see this problem as well - although I can't determine how the effect
is triggered. All of a sudden, xorg uses 100% CPU for minutes although I
do nothing special causing lots of compiz effects to kick in.

I always had problem importing channel conf with DVB-T (DVB-S works ok) but
also with scanning:
scanning in mythbuntu worked in 7.10 using a mix of GB, Germany & Spain
def.conf. to get italian channels.
